How payment works...
Our normal policy is full pre-payment of the accommodation. South-African guests may make internet or direct deposits into our bank account, or pay via credit card. Please complete the attached booking form and return fax or e-mail a scanned copy to us.
International guests must please complete the attached booking form with full credit card details. Depending how long in advance your booking is made, we will either take a 50% or a 100% payment. Should it be a 50% payment, the difference will be payable on arrival.
Alternatively you may do an international transfer, for which you will need our SWIFT code when making a deposit at your bank into our account: FIRNZAJJ
Please also note that in the event of a cancellation after the deposit has been paid, you will be liable for the 6.5% commission (plus the 14 % VAT on this amount) we are charged for these transactions.
Please don't forget that if, for whatever reason, you have not pre-paid your accommodation in full, you will need to pay for the outstanding balance as soon as you arrive. Please bring cash, or have your credit card available when collecting the keys. Unfortunately we cannot take travelers' cheques. (Please note: it is sometimes difficult to change bank notes which are marked or torn. If possible please bring ones which are not. Thank you!)
If you are worried about bringing large amounts of cash with you, you can either pay in advance through the Internet (SA guests) or get SA Rands out of an ATM when you arrive. There should be ATM's in the arrivals hall at the airport and there is an ABSA Bank branch across the road from our offices.
Please note that your booking is a legally binding agreement. We cannot fill spaces at short notice so if you change your plans at the last minute we lose a lot of money. If you cancel your trip after your booking was confirmed the cancellation charge is as follows:
- 21-28 days prior to date of arrival - 25% of full payment 14-20 days prior to date of arrival - 50% of full payment 7 - 13 days prior to date of arrival - 75% of full payment "No show" or less than 7 days prior to arrival date - 100% payment
- 6.5% on Credit card deposits already processed, regardless of when
the cancellation is made.
If you leave early without a very serious reason this counts as a last-minute cancellation and a 100% cancellation charge will apply.
